It is Ruben Diaz, Sr. that is the State Senator and a Pentecostal minister who is slamming Gov. Paterson about the same sex marriage bill. Ruben Diaz, Jr. is the Democratic Assemblyman who is running tonight in a special election to become Bronx Borough President. Ruben Diaz, Jr. - his son of course - had to actually persuade his father a few months back to support Malcolm Smith as majority leader. Malcolm smith supposedly supports same-sex marriages and initially, Ruben Diaz, Sr. vowed never to support Mr. Smith as majority leader because of this reason.
